Aloha~

I went to Hawaii with my mum and her friend.
It was a first time for me to go there.

Bus tour...

I had one day bus tour with my mum.
We went around the Oahu Island. We stayed short time in each places.
Next time I am there, I want to go myself or tour in specific place.

At Hanauma Bay from the lookout

Wild chickens at Hanauma Bay lookout
Guide said 'If you eat it, it must be tasty, because they eat nice food from the land.'.

Ku heiau sacred at Makapu'u beach park.
Behind is Kaohikaipu (Turtle Island)

Coconut art...
At Tropical farms.

North Shore at Sunset beach...
Dogs are playing.

Sunset beach...
Waves are high, but still not high enough for surf competition.

Near Sunset beach, there was a sea turtle.

We were lucky, because waves were high for sea turtle...

Key of toilet's door...

There are many homeless people. They make a mess in the toilet and for secrity reason there are key at shops.

At Dole Plantation

Pineapple flower...

Another shot of pineapple flower...
Cute purple flowers in there...

Can you see tiny pineapple is growing?

So pretty to see them.

I wish I had time more... I want to see more.

We just had 25mins. Not enough to see them all. Next time I will go myself.

Purl Harbour

At Purl Habour... saw some warships.

I felt bit depressed, because of the past history.

We can not ignore it. Need to know and learn.

Know as Konoki Nanoki (Hitachi tree) in Japanese.

This tree is called Monkypod.

Walked around the Waikiki beach...

I saw a yacht far away.

Good day, nice beach and fine shot.

Many colourful surfboards.

Just walked...Up at the sky....

Pretty pink flowers on the roof of the building.

Fruits, vegies and sweets shop

Henry's Place...

Finally found handmade ice cream and sorbet shop.

Menu on the freezer.

They have various flavour. Each day has different taste.

Coconut Ice cream...

It was big to eat myself at once. I had to put in freezer few times.

Staff write the taste each cup by hand.

There are sandwiches as well... I only had ice cream (Coconut) and sorbet (Lychee and Mango).
The taste was really nice. Next time I wanna try other flavour icecream and sorbet, sandwiches and fruits.

Lunch at beach restaurant...

I walked around the beachside with my mum.
We found one restaurant... Inside was almost none Japanese tourists, because no Japanese menu.
My mum was so happy about I can speak English.

Looking from the restaurant...
Waitress took us to corner of the table which most beautiful place to see the beach.

Waiter served water with flower.
It was a service from waiter, because no one had flower on the glass.

Loco moco. (Hawaiian cuisine)

Maui Wowie Salad

We shared those... It was very big for two people.
Looks nice and taste were very good too.

Discover...

I was walking around myself in Waikiki area.
I found one little shopping centre called 'Kings Village'.
Actually this centre is old shopping centre. I missed the show called 'Changing of the King's Guard'... I did not know what time the show start...

In stead of real Kings guard... Doll of the King's guard.

Nice wall picture at King's Village.

Bishop museum

I went to Bishop museum with my mum.
We took a bus from Waikiki. It was a first time to take The Bus (Bus services in Oahu) for long trip.
We could see lots of places from the bus.

Pretty Hibiscus at Bishiop museum.

Two big birds of statues in front of science museum.

Behind is The Bishop museum.

An unknown tree with fruit(?)

In front of the Bishop museum.
Inside has lots of history of Hawai...
It was nice to see and know them.

When I left the museum, we saw American thing...

Cute American style of school bus.

On the way back from museum, we hop off the bus near Aloha Tower Marketplace.

Iolani Palace

Statue of King Kamehameha and behind is supreme court justice

Aloha Tower.

Some view from the tower.
Oahu has different many faces... Not only nature. Industry as well.

Interesting objects...

Black normal cycle parking space.

Colouful cycle parking space

Very cute teddy bears at teddy bear museum.
I wanted to go in, but I did not go...
Sadly it was too expensive to go in there.

Near the hotel, there is a clothes shop.
On the roof, there was a dog (Statue)...

Another clothes shop neat the hotel.
Pineapple boy and girl.
They sell very cute T-shirts... but I just looked them.

At the airport...

Behind the airplane, I could see some mountain of Oahu Island.

I had few problems, but it was really gorgeous trip.
I took over 400 of photos, bought some things that I wanted to buy, met my friend, etc. So many things to talk about. Not enough to talk about here.

If you want to hear more or get information, please let me know via email...

Special photo...
Omikuji (Paper fortune)

Some people draw Omikuji at the shrine.
In the fortune written, 'Daikichi', 'Chuukichi', 'Syoukichi', 'Kichi', 'Suekichi', 'Kyou', 'Daikyou'. (In order to Good luck to bad luck).
If the fortune is 'Daikichi', some people holding in purse. However usually people put Omikuji on the line like above.

Best wishes everyone!!
Hopefully everyone have a gorgeous year.

Cooking time!!

Sweets treatment...

The other day I went to farmer's market with my mum.
We found nice apple for cooking.

I was thinking what to make after that and I came up with one recipe...

Apple crepe cake.

Crepe cake on apple jelly.
(Apple compote and custard are between crepes)

I made this from scratch.
This cake is made by seven layered crepe.
Apple jelly is no artificial colour. This colour is from the apple's skins.
Custard is also handmade.
Natural sweets... Be healthy...

This time no recipe is available... sorry for inconvenience...

New products

Natural treat from LUSH

Lush is my current favourite shop...
The other day I was looked at Lush's website and find something nice...

It's limited product which is the soap. This is called 'Chigurisu gawa no megumi' (Quinquereme of Nineveh/UK).

I also thinking to buy perfume... but not strong one. It is because I want to put it during the work. So I was wondering is there something subtle one.
I found solid one is not so strong and LUSH is natural product shop, so aroma is also natural as well. I bought 'Guruguru Blanket' (The Comforter/UK and AUS)

Soap, perfume and LUSH times (Catalog)

I haven't used soap yet, so I'm not sure what it's like. When current one is finished I will use...
Perfume is very nice. It's very subtle. If I put alot, probably noticeable. However I just use tiny bit, so just smell myself. Or even if it smells, probably like a clothes detergent or soap, so no problem at all even I'm working at restaurant.

It was good shopping.
And once a month for my treat...

It was a blanket of flowers...
