Japanese course

~Tofu ciurse~






























On Sunday I had a dinner with my family and grandma.
We went to Tofu restaurant call 'Mamecho'.
It was nice to see my grandma. and talk to her.
We had tofu course. Food was lovely. Everything served small dishes and we had 9 kind of things. I put some of them.
One is put on the some mushrooms. We call 'Nabe' in Japanese. If it translated, 'Pod food'. I reckon.
It served by pot. There is small stove each person, and cooked in front of us. This photo is already cooked. It based on fish stock, but smell is mushroom. It becaue it's run out extract of mushroom. Smell is very nice.
Next is skewered tofu. It's call 'Tofu dengaku' in Japanese. In English 'Grilled tofu' . There were three kind of tofu. From left side, 'Atsuage' in Japanese, in English 'Deep fried toufe', next is normal tofu and right side 'Mochi fu'. In English... I'm not sure, but it's kind of wheat gluten.
Last is dessert. This soft served ice cream. We call 'Soft cream'. It's not normal ice cream. It made of soy milk. Taste is mild not too sweet. 'Kinako' on the ice cream. 'Kinako' is soybeans's powder. And put on chestnuts. This chestnuts boiled with suger and water.
I should translate back of the paper wrapped of chopstick and coaster.
Coaster says, 'Mame', in English 'Beans'.
And papper wrap says,
Persistence of Mamecho
Good beans
Good water
Good bittern
Please taste it, made by chef, stick with true things and old fashioned taste.
