Brisbane Open House

Special Day

It was Brisbane Open House day.
Many places were open to public. Most of the places were free entry.
I found this event day before the night, so I could not go few places, because some places were need to book.
Even thought I could go lot of places and see the secrets. I learned history and behind the story.
The weather was little bit hot day. However great day out for taking photos.

There were some photos from the day...

Albert Street Uniting Church

Stained-glass

It was a bright day, so stained-glasses were shiny and light in to the church...

I found another church...

St Andrews Uniting Church

Roof tiles

We could go around almost freely entire the church.
I found this little back porch are...

Inside was nice arch shaped open space.

Pipe organ and altar

When I was walked around the church, organ player was starting play pipe organ. At first I was actually just next to the pipe organ. I was sat on a chair near by. I listened sound of the pipe organ. I have never hear pipe organ really close to me. It was few meter away from the pipe organ.
After I moved to the main area which many benches are located. I listened the music from the pipe organ. It was really relaxing and felt something special.

I walked many places which I can not put photos... Sorry.

Queensland Maritime museum

The end of the day, I went to Queensland Maritime Museum.
Usually it cost some to enter this place, but this day was special, so it was free to enter.

I walked into a ship called Diamantina.
It was interesting to see he inside the ship as well as clothes people were wearing.

Uniform

Special day...
Open to public, under the ship.

I could walk bottom of the dock.
From the ground, we still see the size of the ship. However from the under was different world. I actually felt the scale of the ship.
It was great experience. I am not sure how to explain this feeling, but I really enjoyed walking under the ship.

One of the screw

Museum staff told me a spot where I should take...

Tip of the ship

Usually we can not see this part, because under the water or not open to public.

This day I had really amazing experiences.
If I were here next year, I really want to go again.
