Bulimba festival.
ブリンバフェスティバル。 

It was a lovely weather. Sunshine and bit hot day in winter.
There were various kind of things at the festival.
Animal, market, rides and music ...
少し暑かったけど、雲ひとつない天気で冬とは思えない日だった。
フェスティバルでは、色々な事が行われていた。
ふれあい動物園、マーケット、移動遊園地、音楽のステージ等々。

There was a little church on the street.
It was open for public, so I could see the inside...
通りには小さな教会がたたずんでいて、一般公開されていた。

At the stage, there were many different types of music.
Brass band from Australian navy, local band and popular singers in Australia...
音楽のステージでは色々なコンサートが行われていた。
オーストラリアの海上自衛隊によるブラスバンド、地元の人のバンド、そしてオーストラリアでは有名らしい歌手によるコンサート。

I put some photos from famous Australian singers, so that someone you may know...
Actually I have no idea who were they.
They said to young people, 'We are like a Justin Bieber when your parents were your age'.
Singers were Franky J Holden and Wilbur Wilde.
When they were singing there were many people over 40's...
I do not know them, but talk was fun.
オーストラリアの有名な歌手の写真を載せてみた。もしかして知っている人いるかな?
私は全く知らないけどね…
彼らは、観客の中に若い人達を見つけると、「僕達は、君達のお母さんやお父さん達が、君達の年代の頃には 、ジャスティン・ビーバーのような存在だったんだよ。」と語っていた。
彼らの名前は、フランキー・ジェー・ホールデンとウィルバー・ウィルド。
彼らが歌い始めた頃には、周りには40代以上の人達ばかりになっていた。 
全く知らない彼らだったけど、トークは結構楽しかった。

EKKA

EKKA time.
エカの時期。


I was waiting for a while.
EKKA has many things to watch, experience and learn.
Farm animals, food, flowers, art, craft and so on...
毎年1度約1週間のイベントがある。ブリスベンにいる時は、毎年行くのを楽しみにしている。
エカは色々と見たり、体験したり、勉強になる事ばかり。
農場の動物、食べ物、お花、アート、クラフト等々。

Always wonder about the part of the meat when I go to grocery shopping. It was good to learn.
牛肉の部位のお勉強。
いつも買い物に行くとどこの部分のお肉なのか疑問に思っていた。これで、どこの部分のお肉を買っているのか分かるね。

This year's view point was big ship.
There were many bits and pieces.
It was fun to see and find something interesting.

From the evening time, there were many event at the arena.
夕方からはアリーナで色々な催しが行われた。

Huge car...
Sound of this car was also really noisy. However it was good to see.
There were so many actions with this car.
Jump and standing by back of wheels.
大きな車。
勿論車のエンジン音ときたらとてつもなく大きい。でも、良い経験が出来た。
この車は、色々な事をしたの。
普通車を土台にしての大ジャンプ。　そして、スタンディングアクション。（後輪のみでの走行。）


There were so many things apart from this.
Music (Ricki Lee concert), Iron man action, farmers action show (riding horse withother animals show).
Finale was Fireworks with music, laser and fountain show.
I can not say how beautiful was the finale. I have never seen Western fireworks show like that before.
それ以外にも色々なショーが行われた。
リッキー・リーのコンサート、アイアンマンショー、牧場の動物ショー（馬に乗った人が、農場の動物達を操り大きなトラックの上に牛を乗せて見たり、芝生スキーをしたり、等々…）。
そして、EKKAのフィナーレを飾る、花火。 
上手く言葉では言えない位綺麗だった。
オーストラリアで花火は何度も見ているけど、一番綺麗だったかも。花火と共に、音楽とレーザー光線、そして噴水のショー。

Brisbane Botanic Garden Mt Coot-tha

It was lovely day, so I decided to go picnic at Mt Coot-tha.
There is a Botanic Garden. (It's free.) One of my favourite place in Brisbane. 
とても良い天気だったので、クーサ山にピクニックに行く事に…
山の麓には素敵な無料の植物園がある。 ブリスベンの中でお気に入りの場所の1つ。
















Gorgeous flower, isn't it.
There were so many different flowers were blooming.
綺麗なお花でしょ。
沢山のお花が園には咲いていた。



















There is a little lake at the Botanic Garden.
It used to have a totem poles, however I could not see them anymore.
植物園にある小さな湖。
トーテンポールが前はあったけど、なくなっていた。

Where I had lunch was with my parents when my parents were in Australia.
ブリスベンの市内が見える展望台でのお昼ご飯。
お父さんとお母さんがオーストラリアに来ていた時に、お弁当を食べた所でお昼ご飯を食べた。

History at Brisbane

Nice weather for outside...
外で過ごすのには良い日だね… 

It was a music festival.
Part of the site was used to be industrial are. There were some part of the machines are remain this site.
Music was lovely, but it was nice to see and know the history behind the place...
この日はミュージックフェスティバルに行って来た。
会場の一部は工業地跡になっていて、機械の一部が残っていた。
音楽もとても良かったけど、こういった跡地が見られた上にちょっとした歴史も知る事が出来て良かった。

この日はとてもいいお出掛け日和だった。
歴史を知れて、良い音楽も聞けて、天気も良くて、そして最後は綺麗な花火も音楽と共に見れたし。
ありがとう…

Market day

デザイナーズマーケット

I went to designers market at Old Museum Brisbane.
There were two reasons for visiting there. One was meeting my friend who is doing her art work. The other was getting ideas.
デザイナーズマーケットの為にオールドミュージアムブリスベンに行って来た。
マーケットに行くには2つの理由があった。1つは友達に会う事、そしてクラフトのアイディアを探しに… 

My friend was busy to selling her ceramic art. Nice to see her child as well.
I did not have much time to talk, but I was so happy to see that her art business is going well.
友達は忙しそうにセラミックアートを売っていた。友達の子どもにも久し振りに会えた。
あまり話す時間なかったけど、友達のビジネスが上手くいっているようで良かった。
















I do not know the reason for it, but It was 'Tanabata' in Japan, so this streamers reminded me that day...
なんでこのような吹き流しが木から垂れ下がっているのか分からないけど、日本ではこの日が七夕で、この吹き流しを見た時は、七夕の事を考えていた。
















Outside of the building, there were nice flowers.
It was almost end of the blooming. This was a best one that I found there.
建物の外は色々な花が咲いていた。
ちょうど花の見頃を終える頃で、その中でも1番良かった物… 

Very beautiful building... and with some flowers...
There is a concert hall. One day I want to go inside the hall.
I am assuming one of the glass window is located in the hall and shine nicely inside.
とても綺麗な建物…そしてお花。
建物の中にはコンサートホールもあるらしい。きっとホールの中からは、このステンドグラスの様な窓が綺麗に見えるんだろうな…もし機会があるのなら行ってみたいなぁ…

The other day of the morning, I was checking the event on my iPod Touch. I found one festival which I wanted to go. Last year I went there and I liked it.
Different kind of music and surrounding by nice building.
この間の週末の朝何かイベントがやっていないかなぁとiPod Touchで検索。フェスティバルがやっているのを発見。去年行って、またまたあったら行きたいと思っていたフェスティバル。
色々なライブでの音楽があちらこちらでやっていて、街を歩いていても素敵な建物があってとてもいい所。

















It was so many people. Last year was a lot, but this year was more than that, so it was hard to walk and look around. I was thinking to listen music while having something, but it was so many people, so I decided to go for a walk instead... Heading to New Farm.
沢山の人がいた。去年よりも沢山の人がいて、歩くだけでも大変だった。本当ならゆっくりお茶でもしながら音楽を聞きたかったところだけど、あまりの人多さに予定変更。川岸を散策しながらニューファームに向かう事に…

On the way to New Farm, I found some things that.
It was wool store. Quite old building.
I do not know the name of the flower, but it was look like a swan.
ニューファームに行く途中に発見。
昔に建てられた物でウールストアという。（去年も確かこのブログに更新したと思う。）
名前は分からないけど、白鳥の様な植物を見つけた。 

I arrived New Farm.
This is a Power House. At the moment is museum and theatre.
ニューファームに到着。
パワーハウスと言う建物で、今では美術館と劇場がある。

It was lovely day to go out.
I found few new things today.
とてもいい日で、この日はいくつかの新しい発見もした。

Flower Accessory

Finally my craft work finished.
やっとクラフトワーク仕上げる事が出来た。

These are flower accessory.
Two different hair clips. Black one and silver one. Black one is beak hair clips,silver one is snap hair clips.
The other one is a brooch.
お花のアクセサリー。
2種類の髪飾り。黒とシルバー。黒はくちばしクリップでシルバーはスナップクリップ。
もうひとつはブローチ。 


 

Those are just as a sample. There various colored and different button or may have a bead.
At the moment three kinds, but may be start to extend more and make some different style.
上の写真は一部。花びらの色やボタンが違ったり、ボタンにビーズが付いている物があるよ。今は 3種類しかないけど、もう少ししたらお花は一緒だけど、違ったスタイルの物も作って行こうと思う。

I decided to donate some money that I could earn.
Part of the money is going to Redkite.
At the moment is face to face sales. (May discuss about it.)
Price $10 each. (In $10, $2 goes to Redkite.)
売り上げの一部はレッドカイトに募金。
今は、対面での販売。（希望によっては話し合いも…）
価格は1つ10ドル。その内の2ドルはレッドカイトに寄付します。  

Hopefully I can sell some...

Walking day.

Great day for walking.
歩くには良い日だね。


I needed to go Brisbane convention centre, but before that I decided to walk along the river, because the weather made me walk.
I started from South Bank bus station, walk through the market, then walked along the river. My plan had changed. I walked to West End market via riverside, through the market and little rest at the park for having a lunch and finally arrived at Brisbane convention centre.

この日はブリスベンのコンベンションセンターに用事があったけど、その前に川沿いを歩く事に。
サウスバンクのバスステーションからマーケットを通って、 川沿いを歩いた。その間に計画を変更。最初の予定ではその足でコンベンションセンターにと思っていたけど、あまりにも天気が良く歩くには最適な日だったので、そのまま川沿いを歩いてウエストエンドへ。ウエストエンドではファーマーズマーケットがやっていて、そこを通りぬけて公園を見つけたので休憩を兼ねてお昼ごはん。食べた後は、コンベンションセンターへ…

It was lovely day to walk out.
I had never walked this way, so found things.
I hope find something new next walking too.

今日は歩くにはとてもいい日だった。
いつもと違う道を歩いてみるのも色々な発見があって良いね。
今度のウォーキングも新しい発見があると良いなぁ。

Buddha Birthday Festival

ブッダ生誕祭

I went to the Buddha Birthday Festival.
The weather was very good. Nice to walking along the Brisbane river as well.

ブッダ生誕祭に行って来た。
天気も良く川沿いを歩くにはとてもいい日となった。 
















I reckon this was for Chinese Buddha festival, so there were many Chinese people who were attending the pray.

中国のブッダ生誕祭らしく、沢山の中国人がお祈りに来ていた。
