Looked around neigbourhood for Christmas lights...
近所のクリスマスイルミネーション。

My homestay family took around neighbourhood for the Christmas lights.
There were so many houses put lights up. Some were little, but few places were whole front yard and house were surrounding by Christmas lights like photo on bottom.
ホストファミリーが、近所のクリスマスライトアップを見に連れて行ってくれた。
たくさんの家がクリスマスのデコレーションをしている。小さい物から、大きい物では表玄関から家全体を飾り付けている。(例えば下の写真)























This house had Christmas light as well as some special theme. I really loved the place... because there were so many teddy bear. Teddy bear Christmas Wonderland.
They were doing seesaw, teacup, house ride, etc... So cute.
By the way, Pikachu was having lovely Christmas time too.
お気に入りの家は、クリスマスライトだけでなく、特別なテーマがあった。
特別なテーマとは、テディベアワンダーランド。
テディーベアはシーソーをしたり、コーヒーカップの様にくるくる回るものに乗っていたり、木馬に乗っていたりと楽しそうにしていた。とっても可愛いかった。
そういえば、ピカチュウもクリスマスを楽しんでいたりして...

First photograph was number one Christmas illumination in this year around this area.
I had really good time and saw lots of nice houses with gorgeous illumination.
I was nice to spent time with feeling of Australian style Christmas.
一番上の写真は、ここの周辺地域の中で、一番に選ばれた家の写真。
この夜は綺麗なクリスマスライトが見れて、いい時間を過ごすごとが出来た。
このようなクリスマスライトを見ていると、やっぱりオーストラリアのクリスマスだなぁというのを実感する。

Queens park, Ipswich

Christmas Lunch with friends and their relatives.
友達とその親戚とのクリスマスランチ。

My friend invited me for the lunch and she took me to Queens park in Ipswich.
The weather was lovely. Nice day for picnic and walk around the park.
I am so grateful to have a lovely people surrounding me. 
友達がクリスマスランチに誘ってくれて、一緒にイプスイッチにあるクイーンズパークに行ってきた。
お天気も良く、ピクニック日和。歩くのにも良い日。 
いい人達にで会えている事への感謝... 

Queens park is a really nice place. This time we did not go to the little zoo, but instead walked up the little hill and stood on the lookout.
View from the lookout was very good. Nice to see the view of Ipswich central and toward the hinterland. There were so many trees and I saw some mountain range.
I felt nature power and how big Australia is...
クイーンズパークはいつ来てもいい所。今回はミニ動物園には行かず、丘を上がって展望台から景色を眺めた。
展望台からの眺めは最高。イプスイッチ市街地や内陸部が望む事が出来た。内陸部は、森に囲まれ、山も見られた。
自然の力を感じた日。そして、オーストラリアはやっぱり大きいんだなぁと実感した。

Special time of the year...
It is very different from Japan. I can experience so many different things. This is one of special things in Australia, I reckon.
Many illuminations are decorated at someones house. Decorations at someones house, it is not small like in Japan... Some houses are huge.
I took some many photos. These are good one (two houses) and my favourite.
一年でも特別な時間。
日本とは違う事が経験できる日。これはオーストラリアでの、特別な日でもあると思う。
沢山のイルミネーションが、色々な家を飾る。イルミネーションと言っても、日本みたいにちょっとだけ飾るわけではない。一部の家では大々的な物。
沢山写真撮ったけど、その中でもお気に入りの2軒。

最初の家。
この家の人達は一所懸命飾り付けしたんだなぁって言うのが分かる。  
















This photo tells about Christianity which related to Christmas.
Not many houses decorated those type of decorations. It was nice to see and well presented.
この写真はキリスト教について語っている。クリスマスはキリスト今日に関連する行事だからね。
でも、殆どの家はこういった飾りつけはしていなかった。これはその中でも1番上手く飾ってあった物。

White Christmas in little town. There was a locomotive around the town.
I guess it took some time to make this... so lovely.
ホワイトクリスマスの街並み。街の周りを汽車が走る。
作るのに沢山の時間掛ったんだろうなぁ…とても可愛かった。


Another house.
This house is my friend's friend house.
It was quite simple, but very nice illuminations.
もうひとつの家。
この家の人は友達の知り合いの家らしい。
シンプルだけど、とても良いイルミネーションだった。

Cute Santa was welcoming house on the top.
可愛いサンタクロースが家のてっぺんでお出迎え。

It was hiding under the deck of house that celebrate the Christmas.
テディーベア 大好き。
縁側の下でひそかにクリスマスを祝っていた。

I had really lovely time on Christmas eve and Christmas day with gorgeous people.
I am so grateful to have nice people and I feel how lucky I am in overseas.
I really appreciated the time I could have it.

Christmas lights...

Magical night...
魔法のような夜…

Few days before this night, my Korean friend who is working in Emirates contacted me.
It was surprise, because she said while ago she will not have work to Brisbane until next year. However the night she sent me email that she just got job to Brisbane. Luckily I had early shift at work.
この日の数日前に、韓国人のエミレーツで働いている友達からメールが届いた。
驚く事に、メールにはブリスベン行きの飛行機の仕事が突然入ったとの事。前までずっと来年まではブリスベンの仕事はないって言っていたから。運が良い事に友達が来る日は早番。

We had dinner at her friend's house then back to town to walk around a little bit. She did not have time, because she had to fly out next morning. I just took her city hall and Queens Street mall.
晩御飯を友達の友達の家で食べて、それから街中に戻ってきて少しだけ歩いた。友達は次の朝のフライトでブリスベンを離れるから、あまり時間がなかった。時間がない中、友達をシティーホールとクイーンズ・ストリート・モールに連れて行った。

There were so many lights that ready for Christmas.
It was so beautiful to see them with lovely friend who we had not met over five years.
クリスマスに向けて、沢山ライトアップや飾り付けが街中に広がっていた。
とても綺麗なライトアップと5年以上ぶりに会う友達…
 

I wish we had more time. Next time I hope I can meet her in her private time.
Nice lights up with lovely friend who had not met for long time...
I felt it was a magical night...
Thank you for the grateful time with my friend.
もっと時間があったら良かったけど。今度は友達がプライベートで来る時に会えると良いなぁ。
素敵なイルミネーションと久し振りに会う友達…
なんだか魔法にかかったような夜だった。

At Christmas picnic

クイーンズパーク

My friend invited Christmas picnic with her family and relatives.
This year was at Queens park. In this park there is a little zoo.
After lunch we went to the zoo.
お友達が家族・親せきのクリスマスピクニックに誘ってくれた。
今年はクイーンズパーク。ここの公園には小さな動物園がある。
お昼ごはんの後に、動物園に行った。

May be at first I guess, because I saw big wild one before. (Not same one. Different kind.)

実際に遭遇したら、怖い?
多分最初は怖いかもね。でも、見ている分には大丈夫。実際に森の中で見たよ。違う種類だけどね。

Baby Bilby... Very small and so cute.
It was very dark, so difficult to take photos without flash. This is the best one.
ビルビーの赤ちゃん。小さくてとても可愛い。
ビルビーのコーナーはとても暗かった。だからフラッシュなしでの写真を撮るのには苦労した。これは一番良い物。

There were many interesting flowers and plants.
I am not sure names, but I am leaving few photos.

'Welcome to my barn.' said pumpkin scarecrow. (Scarecrow did not say. Just imagination)
「ようこそ、私の家畜小屋へ…」とかぼちゃのかかし…　（本当には言っていないけどね。）

Big black bull was very quietly welcomed at barn.
大きな黒牛が静かにお出迎え。

Peacocks were about to go out.
クジャクはちょうどお出掛けに行く所だったみたい。


It was really great time at Christmas picnic and also nice to see many animals and birds at zoo.
Lovely to have gorgeous people.Thank you so much.
とても楽しいクリスマスピクニックと動物園だった。
良い人達に恵まれて良かった。ありがとう。

Frist time...

Ferris wheel.

My friend invited me 'Wheel of Brisbane'.
友達がブリスベン観覧車に招待してくれた。

I know Ferris wheel in Brisbane. I always see whenever I go through or walk along the Brisbane river.
I live here totally over 6 years (back and forth), but I have never ridden Wheel of Brisbane before.
観覧車はいつもバスに乗ったり、ブリスベン川を歩くのに見ていた。でも、6年以上（行き来）住んでいるのに1度も乗った事がなかった。
















It looked quite quick to go around. (Apart from first round)...
初めの一回転を除き結構早く回っていたのには驚いた。

My friend invited me a Christmas lunch with her family and relatives.
It was lovely weather at dam.
友達が家族や親戚のクリスマスランチに招待してくれた。
天気もとても良かった。 

















When we were having a lunch, there was a guest.
Wild Kookaburra. It did not sing, but it was beautiful bird.

野生のワライカワセミ。無きはしなかったけど、綺麗な姿が見れた。

Nice breeze and weather. It was really relaxing.

I really like standing in nature.

やっぱり自然の中にいるのは良いね。

Christmas Eve and Christmas

Merry Christmas!!

I spent a time with friends, one of friend's family and relatives.
It was lovely time.

On Christmas Eve, we went a bus tour for Christmas illuminations.
There were so many houses lighting up.
Play music, toy tank engine, Jesus Christ, Santa, presents and so on...
