太鼓のイベントの日、犬山をお散歩してみたよ…

Cute manholes everywhere... Fire truck is for fire hydrant. Blue one is for rainy water.

かわいいマンホールがあちらこちらに…消防車は消火栓。青色は雨用。

小さな郵便ポストにかわいらしいザクロ。

Inuyama has some Dashi (Japanese festival car which does need manpower) for festivals. This little black and white house has a Dashi inside.

犬山にはお祭りで使用される山車（人力で動かす）がある。この白黒の建物の中に山車がしまわれている。

Walking in the street, I found this two little statue of monkeys on the building. Inuyama is famous for monkey, so maybe on the roof? I am not sure...

町を歩いていると2つの小さなおさるさんを見つけた。犬山はおさるさんも有名だから、屋根の上にいるのかな？分からない…

Orange roof came in my eyes... It is Sensho-ji (temple). I did not go in, but I felt some power. There was a little sign in the entrance. The sign is said "Leaf drops, returns to the root"... Umm, something to think about.

オレンジの屋根が急に目に留まった。先聖寺（せんしょうじ）。中には入らなかったけど、何かパワーを感じた。入口に小さな貼り紙。貼り紙には「葉落ちて根に帰る」何か考えさせられた。

I found nice old house... Komesei Kyutaku. Built in 1889. Inuyama merchant was living in the house. In 1891, Noubi earthquake, happened and one part was corrupted. In 1918, Kura (warehouse) was rebuilt.

素敵な古い建物を見つけた。米清旧宅（こめせいきゅうたく）。1889年に建てられる。犬山商人が住んでいた。1891年の濃尾地震により一部崩壊。1918年、蔵が再建される。

View from the train. It was sudden storm. During the storm, there was a gap of the sky... Heaven's radder...

電車の車窓から。突然の夕立。夕立の空の隙間から…天国への階段…

Flower Gardens

I caught up with my friends at park and had picnic.
After that I was wondering around the park...
Then on the way to home on my bicycle, I hopped off few times at two parks.
友達と久しぶりに公園で会ってピクニックをした。
その後で、1人で公園の中をぶらぶらと歩いた。
そして、その帰り2つの公園にも寄って帰ってきた。

There were few gardens.
Photos are from rose and iris ensata (Japanese iris) gardens.
お花畑がいくつかあった。
写真はローズガーデンと花菖蒲ガーデン。




Riding bicycle about 15 minutes from the park we did picnic, there is park with lily garden.
My mum told me the other day that this garden is quite popular around this season.
ピクニックをした公園から自転車で15分程、ユリガーデンがある公園へ。
少し前に、この時期はユリで有名だとお母さんが教えてくれたっけ...





I like this picture. How pretty with statue of a girl with lily garden on the back.

I was thinking to go back home, but then I remembered there is a park famous for hydrangea on the way home.
It was not fully bloomed yet, but it was beautiful.
The colour parts are sepals, not flowers. Do you know that?
家に帰ろうと思っていたけど、紫陽花が綺麗な所が帰る途中にある事を思いだした。
まだ満開ではなかったけど、とても綺麗だった。
色の付いている所はがくで、お花ではないよ。知っていたかな?

Flower carnival

トゥオンバ　フラワー　カーニバル

It was lovely weather to visit Toowoomba with my friend.
There was a carnival for flower.
Before visiting carnival I caught up my friend who lives Towoomba. It was just before I came back to Japan and we hadn't seen each other for long time, so it was nice to see.
After say good by with her, we went to the carnival. Few places had many gorgeous flowers.
今日は、天気も良く、友達とトゥオンバにお出掛け。
フラワーカーニバルが行われていた。
カーニバルの前に、 トゥオンバに住んでいる友達と久しぶりに再会。私が帰国前だった事もあり、なおさら会えてよかった。 
トゥオンバの友達と別れてからカーニバルへ。カーニバルはあちらこちらで行われ、沢山の綺麗な花が咲いていた。

I lived Australia over 6 years this time, I had never been to island.
First time I went to island.
Bribie Island is located an hour away (driving) from Brisbane.
Little bit cold, but the weather was nice. Blue sky.
今回6年以上オーストラリアに住んでいた。でも、1度も島に行った事がなかった。
初めて島に遊びに行った。
ブライビー島は、ブリスベンから車で1時間位の所にある。
少し寒かったけど、天気も良く青空だった。





Some people were fishing. I needed to careful to walk, because fishing lines were toward to ocean and I could not see well if I walk and see the ground or ocean...
何人かの人は魚釣りをしていた。気を付けて歩かないといけない。と言うのも、釣り糸は海の方に投げられているから...でも、海見ながら歩いているし、糸はクリアだから、じっくり見ないと気が付かない。

I wondered who was living... I guess crab??
Very cute, little balls on the ground.
一体だれが住んでいるのだろう...かにさんかな?
小さいボールが沢山。とても可愛いね。

Forgetting things from the ocean.
What is this? There were so many. Looks like crescent moon jelly.
海の忘れ物。
なんだろうね?海岸には、沢山転がっていた。三日月ゼリーみたいだね。

One boat was went towards to the canal with little boat behind.

Botanical garden at Mt Coot-tha
マウント・クーサ植物園

There are various kind of plants and trees in this botanical garden.Surprisingly it is free to go in.
The weather was nice. It was little bit hot to walk under the sun, but good for walking along the garden.
ここの植物園には色々な植物や木が植えられている。驚く事に無料で植物園に入る事が出来る。
少しお日様の下を歩くには暑かったけど、お散歩するには天気のいい日だった。

There were so many lizard at the garden. Some were still baby.

植物園には沢山のトカゲがいた。まだ赤ちゃんのトカゲもいた。
小さいトカゲ見つけたよ。
池のほとりに座って、何かを眺めていたよ。

Australia Day!!

オーストラリア・デー

It was Australia Day.
There were some festival around Brisbane.
I went two with my friend. One was in Redcliffe and the other was in South Bank.
オーストラリア・デーという事もあり、ブリスベンやその近郊の地域で色々フェスティバルが行われていた。
友達と一緒に、レッドクリフとサウスバンクのイベントに行ってきた。

At Redcliffe, there is a shipwreck site.
I went there before, but I found new thing.
It was very low tide day, so the water was not cover any on the ships.
Yes, ships. I thought there was one ship sank at the shore, but it was not. There were four of them.
レッドクリフには座礁船を見る事が出来る所がある。
前にも来た事があるけど、今回新たな発見をした。
この日は結構潮が引いていた事もあって、座礁船が良く見る事が出来た。 
1隻…だと思っていた物が、実は4隻もある事が今回行って分かった。

The ship was dead, but it is not really dead. Something was growing and alive...
There was little flower ground on the ship. Ship was still smiling with little lives on the ship.
船は船としての役目をはたしてしまったけど、本当はまだ生きているのかも。というのも、小さな命が生きているのを見る事が出来た。
船の上に小さなお花畑が。船が、その小さな命と一緒に、まだ微笑み掛けているようだった。


Walking around the festival area.
I thought the festival is much more bigger, but it was not bigger as I expected. Even there was fireworks at night... (We could not wait for another few hours.)
I found something on the ground. It was art activity and people were drawing something on the ground. Many people were having fun in Australia day. Lots of positive energy from the art.
フェスティバルの所を歩いて回った。
フェスティバルは大きい物かと思っていたけど、想像と違って小さな規模な物だった。花火が行われることになっていたけど、数時間それまで待つ事も出来なかった。
フェスティバルで、アート体験コーナーがあってみんなは色々地面に絵や言葉など色々と書いていた。みんなはオーストラリア・デーを楽しんでいるのがその絵から伝わってきた。 

 



















After we left Redcliffe, we went to see fireworks in South Bank.
We watched from Kangaroo Point.
It was very beautiful with scenery with Brisbane CBD and South Bank.
I took some photos and video. These photos were quite good one from my photos I took on camera.

レッドクリフを後にして、ブリスベンに戻りサウスバンクの花火を楽しむ。
サウスバンクはすごい人と車が止めれないであろうという事で、カンガルーポイントから望む事に。
ブリスベン市街地とサウスバンクをバックに、綺麗な花火を見る事が出来た。
1眼レフと携帯のカメラで写真やビデオを撮った。その中でも綺麗に撮れている2枚を更新。  

I could spend very nice time on Australia Day.
I saw and learn how the people in Australia spend a time on Australia Day.
It was nice experinece.
Thank you for the day I had...
オーストラリア・デーがいい日になった。
オーストラリアの人達が、どのような日を過ごすのか見て、学ぶことが出来たし、花火も見れて良かった。
今日という日が楽しく過ごせた事に感謝。
 

Surprise...

Big bird!!
大きな鳥!!

In the morning, chickens in the backyard were really noisy. Sometime I hear like that noisy chickens, so I thought another day of noisy morning.
Later, my homestay mother went backyard to see why they were noisy... She found a big hawk in the backyard. She told me that it was sat on the trampoline.
Day before, children at homestay were not happy, because on of the baby guinea pig was missing. She told them, unfortunately the hawk might got the baby guinea pig.
Once the hawk went somewhere, but actually the hawk was sat on the tree...

朝、ホームステーのニワトリたちはとてもうるさく鳴いていた。時々ある事だから、｢まぁ、いつもの事だろう。｣と思い聞いていた、
少ししてから、ホストマザーが気になっていて、なんでうるさく鳴いていたのか庭に見に行った。そうしたら、ホストマザーは庭で鷹を見つけた。戻ってきて、みんなに｢トランポリンにタカが座っていて、追っ払ってきた。」と話した。
そういえば、前の日にホストマザーがギニーピッグの赤ちゃんが1匹いなくなって、子ども達が悲しんでいたと言っていた。ホストマザー曰く、鷹の仕業かもと話した。
鷹はどこかに行ったと思っていたら、木の上に座っていた。

I was quite surprised that I saw a hawk in the backyard.
I am living in the suburban city.
That might be telling something in the nature probably... Less food for them.
庭で鷹を見るとはちょっと驚いた。
私の住んでいる所は、町から少し離れた所なのに。
たぶん、自然界のサイクルが少しずつ壊れ始めているのかな。餌がなくてこんな所にまで来ているのかも…

It was a lovely day to go out to forest with friend.
Day before was rainy day, so there were some pretty waterfalls around.
天気も良く、森林浴をするには最適の日。
前日に雨も降ったこともあってか、いくつかの滝を見る事が出来た。


We walked around The Canyon Springbrook area, from Canyon Lookout to the forest.
Few places was little bit wet to walk, due to rain day before. It was fun to walk in the forest.
キャニオン　スプリングブルーク　エリアをキャニオン展望台から、森の中へ歩いて行く。
途中、前日に雨も降った事もあり所々地面が濡れていた。森歩きは楽しかった。

We also walked around National Bridge.
There is a cave which famous for grow warm and waterfall.
Unfortunately it was before the sunset, so we could not see grow warm. However it was nice to see the waterfall.
The sunlight was came through the hall of waterfall. It was beautifully hit on the waterfall.
ナショナル　ブリッジの散策。
そこは、洞窟があって、グローワームと滝で有名な所。
この日は、日没前という事もあって、グローワームは見る事が出来なかったけど、綺麗な滝は見る事が出来た。
滝が降り注ぐ穴から、日の光が入り、その光が滝に当たりちょっと神秘的だった。

It was nice day to have a birthday party outside.

ホストペアレントの子供(ノア)の誕生日会。
誕生会をするには素敵なお天気。
農場でのお誕生会なんて、気分はオージー。

ノアお誕生日おめでとう。

There were so many different animals at farm.
All the animals are rescued animal.
Pigs, chickens, goats, sheep, ducks, horses, cows, camel, alpacas, donkey...

農場には色々な動物がいた。
みんなどこからか助けられた動物たち。
ぶた、にわとり、やぎ、羊、かも、アヒル、馬、牛、ラクダ、アルパカ、ロバ…


I had really good time at farm.
I patted rare animals. Such as donkey and camel.

農場でいい時間を過ごす事が出来て良かった。
珍しい動物にも触れあえることが出来たし。ロバやラクダは動物園の柵の中位でしか見たことないからね… 

BBQ at riverside

Feeling of Aussie time...
オーストラリアを感じる…

It is summer in Australia.
Very nice time to have BBQ (Barbecue) outside.
Usually on Sunday, my homestay mother took me to her parents to have dinner there. (Nice family dinner.) However today she took me to riverside with her parents.They drove about 5 to 10 minutes. There was a riverside park with BBQ facility.
Yes, most of people will surprise. In Australia, it is common to have BBQ facility. Just press a switch the turn on stove and cook sausages, vegetable, etc...
オーストラリアは今夏。
バーべキューをするには最適は時。
普段の日曜日は、ホストマザーの両親の家で晩御飯をごちそうになる。でも、この日はいつもと違っていた。車で5~10分位の所にある、河原の公園に行っての晩御飯。公園にはバーベキューの出来る施設がある。
そう、驚くことに、こっちには電気で付くバーベキューの施設がある。しかも無料。ただ、スイッチを押すだけで、一定の時間ホットプレートの様になっている所が熱くなって、ソーセージや野菜などを焼くことが出来る。


Riverside was so beautiful.
It was only 10 minutes drive, we arrived close to nature...
I cannot believe that it is still near the city.
河原はとても綺麗。
車で10分でこの様な所に来れるとは...
市街地からもそんなに離れていないのに、この景色にはちょっと驚きを感じる。 

I found something nice from the nature...
自然の何かを見つけたよ。

































































Someone was hung a stick.
Playing a swing... may be more like a hanging monkey.
Homestay children were playing happily with this.
誰かがつりさげた木の棒。
ブランコ...というよりは、おさるさんの様にぶら下がるって感じ。
ホームステーの子供達は楽しそうにぶら下がって遊んでいた。

 



















I had really nice arvo...
Hopefully I have more chance to have those time.
とてもいい夕暮れの時間。
またこんな機会が過ごせるといいなぁ...
