オーストラリア・デー

It was Australia Day.
There were some festival around Brisbane.
I went two with my friend. One was in Redcliffe and the other was in South Bank.
オーストラリア・デーという事もあり、ブリスベンやその近郊の地域で色々フェスティバルが行われていた。
友達と一緒に、レッドクリフとサウスバンクのイベントに行ってきた。

At Redcliffe, there is a shipwreck site.
I went there before, but I found new thing.
It was very low tide day, so the water was not cover any on the ships.
Yes, ships. I thought there was one ship sank at the shore, but it was not. There were four of them.
レッドクリフには座礁船を見る事が出来る所がある。
前にも来た事があるけど、今回新たな発見をした。
この日は結構潮が引いていた事もあって、座礁船が良く見る事が出来た。 
1隻…だと思っていた物が、実は4隻もある事が今回行って分かった。

The ship was dead, but it is not really dead. Something was growing and alive...
There was little flower ground on the ship. Ship was still smiling with little lives on the ship.
船は船としての役目をはたしてしまったけど、本当はまだ生きているのかも。というのも、小さな命が生きているのを見る事が出来た。
船の上に小さなお花畑が。船が、その小さな命と一緒に、まだ微笑み掛けているようだった。


Walking around the festival area.
I thought the festival is much more bigger, but it was not bigger as I expected. Even there was fireworks at night... (We could not wait for another few hours.)
I found something on the ground. It was art activity and people were drawing something on the ground. Many people were having fun in Australia day. Lots of positive energy from the art.
フェスティバルの所を歩いて回った。
フェスティバルは大きい物かと思っていたけど、想像と違って小さな規模な物だった。花火が行われることになっていたけど、数時間それまで待つ事も出来なかった。
フェスティバルで、アート体験コーナーがあってみんなは色々地面に絵や言葉など色々と書いていた。みんなはオーストラリア・デーを楽しんでいるのがその絵から伝わってきた。 

 



















After we left Redcliffe, we went to see fireworks in South Bank.
We watched from Kangaroo Point.
It was very beautiful with scenery with Brisbane CBD and South Bank.
I took some photos and video. These photos were quite good one from my photos I took on camera.

レッドクリフを後にして、ブリスベンに戻りサウスバンクの花火を楽しむ。
サウスバンクはすごい人と車が止めれないであろうという事で、カンガルーポイントから望む事に。
ブリスベン市街地とサウスバンクをバックに、綺麗な花火を見る事が出来た。
1眼レフと携帯のカメラで写真やビデオを撮った。その中でも綺麗に撮れている2枚を更新。  

I could spend very nice time on Australia Day.
I saw and learn how the people in Australia spend a time on Australia Day.
It was nice experinece.

オーストラリア・デーがいい日になった。
オーストラリアの人達が、どのような日を過ごすのか見て、学ぶことが出来たし、花火も見れて良かった。
今日という日が楽しく過ごせた事に感謝。
 

Byron Bay

Ocean walk and ocean view
海岸歩きと海岸の眺め


Beautiful weather for walking and taking photograph.
It was quite busy around central Byron Bay. However not many people were walking along the beach toward to lighthouse.
I found so many interesting and nice thing at the beach. I could only update some photos from my collection. 
天気に恵まれ、散策や写真を撮るのには最適な日。
バイロンベイの中心地はすごい人だったけれど、海岸から灯台に向かって歩く方はあまり人がいなかった。
海はいつも色々な物を見つける事が出来る。たくさん写真を撮って、全部は更新出来ないけど、その中でもお気に入りの数枚。


























The wave made some interesting things.
This was one of them. Round shape with some seaweed on top...
I like the contrast of blue, green and brown.
波は時には面白い物を作り上げる。
これはその1つ。丸い岩に海藻が育つ。
青・緑・茶色、色のコントラストが結構いい感じだった。

Where is this tree branch coming from?
It was nicely laying on the ground.
この流木はどこから来たのだろう?
いい感じに地面に転がっていた。

Near the lighthouse. Under the cliff.
The wave was quite high and hit on the rocks and splash the water.
Very strong power and big noise. I could feel the power of ocean.
灯台の近くの崖の下。
波は結構高く岩に当たって、大きな水しぶきを上げていた。
とても力強く、大きな音を立てていた。海の力を感じた。


We walked up the cliff and saw the lighthouse.
Other side was very nice view too.
崖を上がる道を歩いて、ようやく灯台に辿り着いた。
崖の反対側の景色も素敵だった。  

My friend drove to the other side of the beach which we saw from the top.
There were not many people and very quiet beach.
The beach walk was very nice.
The sunset hit on the cliff and made beautiful view.
友達の運転で、灯台から見下ろしていた反対側の海岸へ。
人も少なく、とても静かな海岸で、お散歩するには最適。
夕日が灯台の崖に当たり、とても綺麗だった。 

Walking toward to the lighthouse from the cliff, we saw some dolphins in the ocean.
It was so many of them. How pretty were they...
It was very lucky to see...
灯台に行く途中の崖から、イルカを見る事が出来た。
結構沢山、群れを成して 泳いでいた。
運良く見れて良かった。 

Gold Coast day trip.

Day trip with friend.
友達との日帰り旅。


This weekend was Easter holiday, so most of the people had long weekend.
My friend and I were planning trips, but it was bit late to planned, so not much accommodations were available. In stead doing stay somewhere, we just decided to day trip.
It was cloudy and seemed starting rain when I left house, but when we arrived Gold Coast, the weather was turning into lovely.
この週末はイースターホリデーで殆どの人は連休。
友達と私は泊りでの旅行をと考えたけど、遅かったからホテルの予約取れなかった。 と言う事で、今回は日帰りでの旅行。
家を出る時は今にも雨が降りそうな天気だったけど、ゴールドコーストに着いたら、とても良い天気になった。(予報では豪雨だったけど、雨は1粒も降らず)




















Today's beach condition.
I always check this when I at beach, not only the reason to know the condition of the beach. I like to see the picture that lifeguard drew. Often something is drawn. This time was condition of under the water.
今日の海の状況。
いつも海に来るとこれを見るようにしている。海の状況を知るだけの理由で見るのではなく、ライフガードが書いている絵を見るのが楽しみ。だいたい必ずと言っていいほど、絵が書いてある。今回は海底の状況についてだった。

Luckily seagull was flying into my photo.
天気も良くて良い景色が見られた。
運よくカモメが飛んできて、写真に写った。 















Almost time to finish working for lifeguard...
I captured lifeguard was walking on the beach. Can you see him with the yellow and red flag?
ライフガードの仕事の終わりの時間。
ライフガードが黄色と赤の旗を集めているのをとらえる事が出来た。ライフガードを見つけれるかな? 

It was very relaxing time at beach. I could meditate with sound of nature. We saw street performers show. It was a festival for street performers. That is why we saw a lot of them. In stead of going to national park we spend time with watching them.
Next time definitely go to national park and stay few nights.
When we left the Gold Coast, we took a bus to the station. Guess what we took. Two stories bus. I was surprised. I have not seen before in Gold Coast. we were lucky to take it. I do not think there are many bus. I took photo, but it was not good quality to put in this blog unfortunately.
Anyway, thank you for that time I could spend today...
とてもリラックスした時間が海で過ごす事が出来た。自然の音を聞きながら瞑想したり、ストリートパフォーマーのショーを見たりした。この日は、ストリートパフォーマーのフェスティバルと言う事もあって、いたる所でショーが行われていた。パフォーマンスを観ていたら、国立公園に行く時間がなくなってしまった。
今度行く時は絶対泊りで行って、国立公園にも立ち寄りたいなぁ。
私たちがゴールドコーストを離れる時に駅に行くバスを待っていたら、なんと2階建てバスが来た。今まで、ゴールドコーストに何度も行っているけど、見た事がない。始めて乗る事とが出来た。多分、そんなに沢山2階建てバスは走っていないと思う。
写真撮ったけど、あまりブログに載せられるような状態でないので残念ながら写真は却下…
今日の様な日が過ごせた事に感謝…
  

Little adventure

Day trip with my friend.
友達とお出掛け。

It was gorgeous weather for day out.
Today we went to Scarborough to Redcliffe.
It took about 1 hour 45 minutes from city to Scarborough by train and bus.
At first we went popular little seafood market and takeaway shop in Scarborough. We bought prawns and fisherman's basket to share. We had lunch at Scarborough boat harbour.
After the lunch, our little adventure was started.
お出掛けするのにはとてもいい日だった。
今日はスカーボローからレッドクリフに向けての旅。
ブリスベン市街地からスカーボローまでは、バスと電車で約1時間45分。
まず最初は、有名な小さな魚売り場とお持ち帰りの食べ物の店が一緒になった所に行って来た。茹でて冷やしてあるえびとフィッシャーマンバスケット(白身魚、ホタテ、えび、イカリングのフライとフライドポテトのセット)と買った。マーケットの外はスカーボローの漁港で、ベンチとテーブルがあって、そこで分け合いながらお昼ごはんを食べた。
お昼ごはん食べてから、レッドクリフに向けての旅が始まった。

We saw a big tree on the way.
I liked the contract of the sky. So lovely.
途中で大きな木を見つけた。
木と空のコントラストが素敵… 

My friend found a bird.
Rainbow lorikeet. Very colourful, isn't it?
友達が鳥を見つけた。
レインボー・ロリキート(ゴシキセイガイインコ)。とてもカラフルでしょ?

 
After walked along the footpath, there were two ways. Keep continue to footpath which above the cliff or shore.
We were not sure we can walk along on the shore, but we just went to see we can walk or not. Luckily it was low tide, so we decided walk along the shore and it was good choice.
It was little adventure actually, because some broken cliffs and rocks on the way.
海岸沿いの歩道をしばらく歩くと分かれ道。崖の上を行く歩道と海岸を歩く道。
どっちに行くか迷いつつ、海岸をとりあえず見に行く事に。歩けるかなかるけないかな…
運が良く、この日は潮が引いていた。だからこのまま海岸を歩く事に。
小さなアドベンチャーの始まり。と言うのも、海岸には崖が崩れた物や岩がゴロゴロしていたから。

満潮になると、海水は崖の所まで来るんだと思う。 


After we walked along the shore, finally we arrived Redcliffe jetty.
It was long walk. Probably 5km with thongs.
海岸沿いを歩いて、ようやくレッドクリフの桟橋に到着。
長い距離を歩いた。多分5km位かな。しかも草履をはいてでの…
 

End of the trip, just before we left Redcliffe.
Interesting monument. Rings are moving around.
旅の終わり。ちょうどレッドクリフを離れる時。

面白い物を見つけた。輪が動いていてなんか不思議だった。


It was lovely day.
We had nice food, saw lots of things, friend was swimming and I was meditating at the beach, took many photos.
とてもいい日になった。
美味しい物を食べて、色々見たり、友達は泳いでいる間私は海岸でメディテーションしたり、写真沢山撮ったりと…

I went for a walk with my friend and his dog at Sandgate beach.
It was lovely day for a walk.
お友達と犬の散歩にサンドゲートの浜にお散歩に行った。
散歩をするのにはとても良い日だった。 
















Some people were enjoying marine sports.
沢山の人がマリンスポーツを楽しんでいた。

Many tiny sand cubes on the beach... May be crabs??
沢山小さな砂のボールが転がっていたよ。かにがいたのかな??

Triple Adventure Day

Adventure weekend.
週末は冒険の日。


Camping and many adventures were waited on the weekend.
We camped at Gheerulla (Mapleton Forest Reserve). It was dark when we arrived the campsite.
No one else was at the campsite. Just three of us. No lights and poor reception on mobile.
It was great experience. Very quiet. Retreat night...
キャンプと色々な冒険が待っていた週末。
グイルラ(メイプルトン保護林)にてキャンプをする事に。キャンプ場に着いたのは真っ暗闇の中。
キャンプ場は小さい所で、私達の３人以外は誰もいなくて、電気もなく、携帯の電波も殆ど届かない所。
とても良い経験が出来た。静かで、休養するには良い所かも…















Good morning birds. Singing birds were my alarm clock. (It was 4:30am.)
Well, I woke up before then and tried to back to sleep...
Came out from the tent and walked a bit...
Looked up the sky... There was the moon. Still bit dark.
おはよう鳥さん。鳥のさえずりが目覚ましに…(まだ4：30)
でも、その前に目が覚めて、もう少し寝ようと思っていたの…
テントから出てきて少し歩く事に…
空を見上げるとお月さまが…まだ薄暗いからかな。

Walked around myself...
We were came from this way, but it was dark. Now I could see what was there.
Little creek, rocky bike road, many trees and singing birds. It was really nice place to be...
I did little bit of yoga and meditation. Lovely day to start with even early in the morning.
1人でお散歩。
この道を通って来たんだね。昨日は真っ暗だったから何も見えなかったけど、今はちゃんとみえるよ。
小川、岩がごつごつしたバイクの道、沢山の木、そして鳥のさえずり。とても良い場所だった。
散歩を終えて少しヨガと瞑想をした。朝はとても早かったけど、1日の始まりとしては良い時を迎えた。


We joined the Triple Adventure group.
The weather was bit funny, but great for adventure.

I had swim at Noosa beach.
Some waves were big, but one of friend told me the tips.
Seventh wave is normally high and paddle quick as possible then ride on the wave.
I did it. I was top of the wave.
It was so much fun.
ヌーサビーチで泳いだよ。
波は時々高かったけど、友達がこつを教えてくれたんだ。
7番目の波はたいてい他の波に比べて高い。だから、一生懸命クロールしたら、波に乗れるよ。
試してみると波の上に乗る事が出来た。
とでも楽しかった。


Moved to Wappa falls.
ワッパ滝へ移動。

Everyone was swimming or jump off from the falls, but I decided not do...
Instead, I walked around and explore myself.
みんなは滝壺で泳いだり、滝の上から飛び込んだりしていたけど、私はしなかった…
その代わりに、滝の周りを探検する事に…

I found a yellow broken car.
I reckon when the weather was really bad, this falls and river were plenty of water and this car was came down from somewhere and stuck in the tree and rocks...
黄色の壊れた車を見つけたよ。
多分、天気の悪い日に増水して、上流の方から流れてきて、木や岩に引っかかったんだと思う… 

One of my favourite photo of the day.
 I was top of the falls. If the water is more, it would be running down, but not much water, so it was just a pool of water.
Water surface was really calm like a mirror. I really like to see and look at it for a while...
今回のお気に入りの1枚。
滝の上に立って撮った写真。水がもっとある時は、下に流れ落ちているのだろうけど、水があまりなかったから、水が溜まっているだけだった。
水面はとても静かで、鏡のようだった。あまりにも綺麗だったから見入ってしまった。 


I had very great weekend.
It is good to have nice friends and people with. I really appreciated that opportunities I had and friendship I have.

Redcliffe

Day trip.
日帰り旅行。

The other day, I was looking at travel website without thinking.
I found one interesting shop on there. That was my stroy was start...
ちょっと前に、旅行のホームページを何の気なしに見ていた。
ホームページで気になるお店を見つけた。それが今回の日帰り旅行の始まり…

There are so many things to do at Redcliffe.
Shipwreck, music star, beaches, shops etc...
レッドクリフには色々な物がある。
船の残骸、歌手、海、お店等等…

I had never seen real shipwreck before. It was extraorsinary to see.
ガユンダー船の残骸…
今までに本物を見た事がなかったけど、何かを感じさせるものだった。
  

Bee Gees!!
Well, I do not know much about this band, but I enjoyed to see them.
That was good to know new thing. Popular band is from near Brisbane.
ビージーズ。
と言ったものの、あまりビージーズは知らない…でも楽しめた。
新しい事を発見するのって良いね。ブリスベンの近くで有名な歌手の誕生…
 



















I went to Redcliffe museum.
There was special event was on and introduced about Japanese culture.
It was nice to see Japanese things. While I am here, it is hardly to see Japanese things.
This kite was really huge. It was on the ceiling. Probably the size will be one normal room or bigger.
レッドクリフ博物館に行った。
特別展示があって、日本のお祭りについて展示してあった。
オーストラリアにいると、なかなか日本の物が見られないから、久し振りに見て良かった。
上の凧の写真は、実物はかなり大きい。10畳位あるんじゃないかな。
 

This is my main story of this trip.
UK shop and cafe.
I ordered Shepherd's pie. I imagined different thing, because it is called pie. It was bit surprised, but very yummy homemade meal.
これがこの旅のメイン。
イギリスの家庭料理カフェ兼お店。
シェパーズパイを頼んだ。パイと名のつく物だから、パイ生地に包まれた物だと想像していたから、テーブルに持って来られてびっくり。味はね、家庭料理って感じで、塩っぱくなくて美味しかったよ。

Another reason I went here was this...
Having meal with teddy bear. Avobe photo is just part of collection at the shop. Of course you can buy them if you want, but I did not. It was quite expensive...
Hope find nice one someday...
もう1つの理由はねこれだったの… 
テディーベアに囲まれての食事。上の写真はごく一部のコレクション。勿論購入も可能。でも、思っていたよりも高くて買えなかった…
いつかお気に入りの一品が見つかると良いなぁ。

Trip with parents. 親との旅行。

My parents coming to Australia.
お父さんとお母さんがオーストラリアに遊びに来たよ。

We went to Gold Coast, Brisbane and Coolangatta.
The weather in last few days were not so good, because of ex-tropical cyclone. However I had really nice time, so as my parents.
今回の旅は、ゴールドコースト、ブリスベン、クーランガッタ。
最後の数日は、サイクロンだった雲の影響で天気があまりよくなかったけど、とても良い旅になった。

We arrived the Mermaid beach.

We saw many jellyfish like this at the beach.
I thought bluebottle, but it seems like called Jelly Blubber. I checked online.
同じクラゲがいっぱい浜に打ち上げられていた…
ネットで調べたら、ゼリー・ブラバーという種類みたい。

You can see the Surfers paradise beach faraway. It was nice memory...
遠くにサーファーズパラダイスの海岸が見える。良い思い出だったなぁ…


We went to Brisbane. Stayed at my friend's house. Thank you so much.  
ブリスベンの旅。お友達の家に泊らさせてもらったよ。ありがとう。

Story Bridge.　ストーリー橋

We took a City Cat to see around Brisbane.
Under the big bridges, cliff of kangaroo point, nice riverside houses, power house, etc...
We had nice drink at Max Brenner in Portside Wharf.
シティーキャットと言うフェリーに乗ってブリスベンの街を見学。
大きな橋をくぐったり、カンガルーポイントの崖を見たり、川沿いに建つ綺麗なおうちを眺めたり、パワーハウスと言う古い建物を見たりと色々出来たよ。
ポートサイド・ワーフにあるマックス・ブレナーで美味しい飲み物を…


My friend drove up to the Mt Coot-tha.
Very beautiful view from the lookout. We also had dinner at restaurant. It was nice view as well. After the dinner we went back to lookout to see night view.
友達が車を運転してクーサ山まで連れて行ってくれた。
展望台からはとても良い景色が見られた。景色を見た後はレストランでの食事。レストランからも良い景色が見られたよ。
晩御飯を食べた後、夜景を見に展望台へ…

On next day, we took buses to go to Mt Coot-tha botanic garden.
It was little shower, but not all the time which was good.
次の日はバスを乗り継いでクーサ山植物園へ。
小雨が時々降っただけで、大雨にならなくて良かった。

Lotus flowers. 綺麗な睡蓮。

There were beautiful lotus flowers at the pond.
沢山の睡蓮のお花が咲いていたよ。

Unknown fruit. 良く分からない実。

I am not sure what fruits were they. This fruit was every where around this fruit.
There was a girl with family. She said 'Tomatoes'.
何の実か分からないけど、この実の周りには同じ物がな沢山落ちてた。
向かいから女の子を連れた家族が 歩いてきた。女の子はお母さんに「トマトが落ちてるよ。」って言っていた。


This botanic garden is really big. There are two part of garden. We talked both.
There was a little lake too. Not only pond.
この植物園は、2つのエリアに分かれていてとても大きい。でも、両方とも散策した。
ここには、池だけでなく小さな湖もある。

It was bit of rain while we had lunch, but after stopped, so we could take nice photo from lookout.
昼ごはんを食べている時に雨が結構降ったけど、食べ終わった頃には止んでいた。だから、展望台からは上手く写真を撮る事が出来た。

We moved to Coolangatta for next day. Because of the ex-tropical cyclone, the weather was miserable. Sometime heavy rain since day before the night. (We were lucky it was not heavy rain while we were at botanic garden.) Also lucky that when we went to bus stop from friend's house, rain was stopped. We took about 3 hours to Coolangatta. 
クーランガッタに次の朝出発。前日の夜から、サイクロンだった雲の影響で大雨が…（植物園に行っている時に大雨にならなくて良かった。）幸運にも友達の家からバス停まで、雨が止んでいてくれた。バスと電車に揺られながらクーランガッタまで約3時間の旅。

We were at hotel and had cupper at our room. Then we decided to go out, before gets dark.
We walked around the seaside where had footpath. Sea was really angry. There were white waves and some were high.
It was very strong wind. Shower was a little bit which was lucky. It was only just went the hotel, the rain was starting hard.
ホテルの部屋で少し休憩。そして、日が暮れる前に散策に行く事に決めた。海岸沿いに歩道が作られていて、そこをのんびり歩いた。海はと言うと、白く波立っていて、中には結構高い波もあった。
一部の所では、風がとても強かった。時より雨も降っていた。ホテルに着く前位に激しい雨になった。海岸沿いを歩いている時でなくて良かった。

The sea condition was bad.　海は荒れていた。

There were some surfers were trying to catch waves. Some part of ocean was really white by waves.
この荒れた海の中、波に乗ろうと何人かのサーファーの人達がいた。

I reckon we were really lucky that the weather was not too bad.
Day after, it was heavy rain and strong wind. Some part of Australia were flooding and blackout for a while...
My parents were lucky too. If they took off Australia next day, lots of flights were cancelled.
今回の旅は結構天候に恵まれていた方かも。次の日からは天候が荒れに荒れて、一部では洪水の被害や数日間停電になっていた。
お父さんとお母さんもラッキーだったと思う。オーストラリアを出発した翌日は殆どの飛行機が欠航だった…
